3, Can I import requirements/releases/test cases/defects from my existing system into akaAT?

We do not support such import out-of-the-box for our akaAT customers at this time. However, user can import external data as CSV file. For more detail, please check the user guide document out.

 

4, Does akaAT support to run multiple test cases in parallel and how does it work?

There are instances in which the user wants to execute tests on different devices, browsers at the same time. So akaAT designed to help user to run multiple test cases in parallel.

In the User Guide Documentation, we have the instruction to support user execute multiple test cases already. You can navigate to Executing Tests on Multiple Test Cases in Parallel part to practice how to run many test cases at the same time.

 

5, Can us reusable the test steps for the other test case?

akaAT supports Keyword Group, you can define keyword group to extend the capabilities of akaAT Studio. Once created, keyword group can be used when implementing test cases, just like other built-in keywords.

6, How to manipulate the for loop? 

For use, we need to use data source or when using a lot of data. In akaAT, the for loop also allows us to process lots of data. 

     Step 1: We need to create a data table  

     Step 2: In test case add step and select control -> select for statement  

     Step 3: on the variable part, we add a variable with data type as data table after it selects the table we want  

     Step 4: In the input part of the for loop we add data source 

 

7, What type of element does the clickable verify element work for? 

 The clickable verify element function is used for the checkbox element, it has the function to check that the checkbox is clickable, because sometimes there are checkboxes that will hide and cannot be clicked. 

 

8, How to use dynamic testobject in akaAT 

To use dynamic testobject in akaAT is very simple. First we need to create a dynamic xpath with param with the param that you set inside the variable in xpath,  

for example: // input [@class = '$ param {}'] 

Then, we go into testcase and call that object and fill in the value, in addition to the default value, akaAT supports additional types such as: variable, global variable and data source. 

 

9, what version of android and version of java do akaAT support? 

akaAT supports most of the android versions currently on the market, and we recommend java 1.8 for use as a platform 

 

10, When to use global variables and how to use them in akaAT 

The global variable is used in cases where the test case has commonly used variables, such as the link when we open the brower, but such links should generally be included in the global variable for ease of use. 

For akaAT we can use the global variable easily, just go to the global variable and select open when the screen opens, you only need to add the value and you can use the global variable in many fields. suitable for use with functions for, if, test suite and also for manipulating dynamic objects 

 

11, How do I manipulate drag and drop in akaAT?

If the drag-and-drop feature was built with HTML5, please use command "Drag And Drop To Object" - drag an UI Objectand drop it onto another UI Object or command "Darg And Drop By Offset" - drag an UI Object and drop it to an offset location.

 

12, How do I can view the past report in akaAT?

In akaAT Studio, there is a folder called "Reports" arranged according to date time, you can click to the report you want to view in HTML.

 

13, How do I set text values for text-based input elements?

Due to the differences between web pages, there are three commands you can use to set text values for text-based input elements (e.g. type="text" or "number"). If you encounter troubles setting text values, please try those commands in this order:

  1. Type
  2. Send Keys
  3. Set Text

 

14, How many platforms are there in akaAT?

akaAT supports most of current web browsers such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer. In terms of mobile, akaAT supports in both Android and IOS platforms.

 

15, How do I connect Android mobile to akaAT?

Please accessing to "Capabilities" folder to edit proper capabilities with connected devices. Filling out accurate udid, appPackage, appActivity to connect to device.
